My Nikah Plan

Theme: All white + Rustic

Date: CNY

Venue: Banglo Keluarga, Kota Bharu.

Time: 2 pm

Obviously i am still looking and crossing all these checklist. If any of you out there have any ideas or someone you know who might give a push to the creation of my beautiful Akad Nikah / Solemnization Ceremony, kindly inform. Love you bunch!

• Hantaran: 7 v 9 Dulang----- 
• I'm thinking to just ask a pro to do both for us. Mine will be All white & rustic with slight soft pink. Artificial flower. (kalau la dapat fresh flower i would be delighted!). For Enchek Tunang... aaaa... you! you nak kaler apa?? Heeeeee... Artificial juga ek.. macam ni boleh?

I had my mind already. Nak booking sis ni je... been calling her and PM-ing her via FB. Tunggu reply. I hope she's still available. Pls pls pls pls... @_@ (Update: YES! I managed to booked her! DONE).

• Wedding Dais: All White & Rustic (harus lah kan)
• Mama and Kak Ain and Ma and Abah (wah satu rombongan dah ni) went to this Bridal Botique in Kota Bharu to choose my wedding dais for the nikah ceremony. Asalnya nak buat sendiri tapi masa tunang hr tu buat sendiri.. mak aih patah pinggang jugak la kan adik ngan ipar ku buat... belum lagi interference Iman comel.. (Nak! Nak! Nak!.. ). 
• Usually, a bridal would offer you a package lengkap dengan Pelamin, Hiasan Bilik Tidur, Hiasan Meja makan beradap, nikah dress (bride & groom), hand bouque and all the renjis thingy thing. Tapi i don't think i want all that. I'll just take the dais, a set of alas duduk (pengantin lelaki, perempuan and Qadhi) and Meja kecil utk akad (easier to write down, sign papers etc.. kalau tak pengantin duk terbongkok2 menulis, tulisan dlm official papers pun senget benget).
• I tak mau makan beradap... well i can always eat with the guests. Plus, it's rude to have a set of menu which are different from what your guest are eating. Selalu kan kita tgk, ahli keluarga yang tak dapat nk makan beradap sekali, serbu lauk2 kat meja pengantin... aaaa... i don't think that's appropriate. So might as well tak yah ada terus. Plus, it's a nikah only... tak yah la beradap2. 
• So i had Seri Kenali Pengantin handle it. You girls out there in Kota Bharu can have a look at their page https://www.facebook.com/serikenali.pengantin. But not all the designs are in the album. I had my sister asked them weather they could custom made the design i liked.. and they are willing to. Semua boleh buat~ bagus!! Cemerlang!
• Macam ni lah lebih kurang... tukar bunga semua kaler putih cream. Kerusi pun tukar... boleh la kan~
• 
  





• Khemah: 
• Mom had it sorted. We booked the same khemah provider masa tunang hari tu. My near relative (Ima anak Mak Long). 
• Since this is only a nikah, we booked One (1) Arabian tent, Four (4) Long rectangular buffet table, Eight (8) Round guest table and Eighty (80) chairs. My sister requested for full curtians and sarung kerusi and scallops etc. 
• I had an argument with mama the other day about what colour i wanted. I want it all white. If there is colour sekalipun, make it rustic.. soft choc or bronze ke.. she said it's like mayat all white... huhu oh mom. The fact that the banglo is ala like bali theme, garden and all  teak wood and carvings, i don't think pink, purple, green and yellow (the colours they have) suits my theme. Huhu... So, i was thinking... i'll prepare my own ribbons for the chairs and table center piece.

• Table deco tu letak a round place mat (made of brown paper and doily paper) pastu letak flower putih (baby's breath ke)... sweet kan.. 8 meja je pun. x banyak. Kerusi will not be like in the pic. Kerusi plastik je tapi sarung putih, so i'll preapre ribbons made from organza kaler putih atau sof cream/ chocholate. Rustic tak?? tapi 80 kerusi ala ala pengsan juga la... hehe (Helpers!!). I'll ask my tinggi2 brothers to hang white paper lanterns kat khemah tu nanti. Perasan tak? Deco je lebih... but i want it ti be cantik~

• Catering: 
• Again, it's a nikah ceremony and usually family members, close relative and close friends are invited. Those not invited, no.... i don't forget you.. you'll be invited for the reception nanti ok. Jgn kecik hati ya? 
• So, catering wise.. Kak Ain and Mama agreed to book the caterer yang biasa buat majlis utk my sister and brother in law. Last raya they took the caterer and asked a kambing golek. Wah! tapi idak lah kali ni... no kambing golek ya. Meriah sgt tu... 
• For 200 pax the charge per head was RM9.00 plus (i think so). The menus macam biasalah kenduri org kelantan kan.. Nasi putih, Gulai kawah, Ayam masak merah, Ikan kering, Acar timun, sambal, Agar2 beledo and air oren. With all the pinggan mangkuk, serving dishes etc lah. Ada pelayan beruniform katanya. Tapi tak ramai la.. 
• Being a mom, Mama risau lah kalau makanan tak cukup. She ended up booking another lauk (kerutuk daging) from her besan. As at 5.12.2013, Mama told me she also ordered Laksam Kelantan, and a few other dishes to add into the original catering menu. Haiyoh... bikin risau aje.
• Alhamdulillah, some of Mama's friends are willing to sponsor some kuehs, tapai and sort. I don't think i'll be doing any candy buffet stations like my E-Day. No man power dah... Keep it simple. Simple kah setakat ni?? Heeee
• As i said earlier, i don't want makan beradap table, so no menu for lauk pengantin. Kalau nk pun, utk bride and groom je lah..boleh hehe.. table for 2 gitu~

Hah... makan la kami berdua kat tgh lalang macam ni nanti ye? 

hehe tidak lah... kasi senonoh la sikit tempat nye nnt... 

• Majlis Khatam Quran & Marhaban
• I always wanted to do this when it's my time utk akad nikah. A khatam Quran majlis. Not that i never khatam my readings, but it's a way to appreciate my Guru Quran and my parents that "Mama, abah.. i think i'm ready. I followed sunnah Rasul saw, hold to the teachings of Al-Quran and insyaaAllah it'll stays in my heart, all iman and taqwa.". This sounds so poyo kan.. tapi if you want a change... then it's a change. Jangan pertikai keputusan sendiri dan jangan biar org lain underestimate you. 
• So, my Ma had it all planned. She asked 20 women from my qariah who used to do marhaban to be a part of my Khatam Quran ceremony. Invited Mak Long, my Guru Quran when i was in school... huhu i hope she did'nt bring her rotan. But i always loved her sweet smell of air mawar, jasmine flowers and bedak baby johnson she used to wear. 
• Ma will sponsor 20 sejadah as gifts and token of appreciation to the ladies. 
• I will have to prepare Bunga Rampai (pandan leaves julienne thinly mixed with flower petals and kaffir lime essence. Drops of rose water). Hmm nak letak dlm apa ek.. bunjut2 ke atau dlm bekas? ke... bior je dlm talam.. nnt masa marhaban... cubit la sikit sorang... heee pemalas kan!
• Will have to make sure my Quran & penunjuk (pointers, usually made from paper lipat2 je... nowadys these pointers da macam2 corak.. siap ada lace2 lagi) and my rehal ready.
• Microphones! Aiyak.. ok. Then what's most important is... practice my readings. The last 10 versus/ surah of the Quran. Betulkan bacaan, baris bawah baris atas, dengung, panjang pendek, and more. Yang penting faham apa yang dibaca tu. Bukan main taram aje. Nak bertilawah tu tak reti la.. tapi at least when you read it proper and the right way.. it sounded just as nice as a taranum-ers (ada eh ayat ni -Pentaranum). 

• Doorgifts: 
• Since my family had most of the list checked, i think i wouldn't want them to be worried about door gifts for the guests. So, i will be preparing 250 pieces of them (just in case). Still looking for the right gift. I was thinking a small fold-able Doa Harian book for the adults and doily paper bag with chocs and candies for the kids. Or maybe a candle holder wrapped in a small box for the adult. What do you think? Macam kat bawah ni... nice kan. Guest would have the feeling like they're personalized... and i don't have to think of a same design every time i wrap them.. 

As at 8/12/13: I've booked a special treat for giveaways. Choc dip pretzels... packed my me moi and my. Hehehe gigih. These are for the children. 

• Photos and Guestbook:
• Erm... i don't have any particular photographer in mind. Tak perlu ada pun tak apa... ramai je nanti yang ngambil gambar. Nnt mintak la ngan diorang kan.. Plus i have my own DSLR Canon yang tak berapa nak canggih tu, boleh la basic shots. Siapa nk ngambil gambar tu?? Khaidir pun boleh.. ada art ke dak kecik tu.. kang jatuh berderai kamera..
• I'm planning nk buat sendiri GuestBook... tapi.. as i walk blogging, i found this very interesting girl yang buat quilling. Cantik sgt2!! Tapi da lupa nak save fav nama blog tu... huhu... I'm also thinking nak suh adinda terchenta, Umzarul Fatihah utk buat Guest Book Thumbprint yang dia pnah buat utk kawan dia dulu,, cantik. Dia buat pokok, dahan bercabang2, ranting etc... pastu nnt bila guests datang, they place their right ibu jari or any jari on a colour and stamp it on the pokok drawing.. macam ala2 daun la cop tangan diorang ni... nnt bila da habis event, laquer or cover it with spray and frame it... buh la nk buat quilling sendiri ke nnt. Nice kan? I think i'll do that... ADEKKKKKKK!!!! 

• Decorations:
• I have been blessed with beautiful, good and helpful friends and ex-housemates. They will be my bridesmaid-cum event decorator cum planner. Hehehe.. Thanks to Farah Azura, Kak Murni Suranti, Along, Azleen Melorina and a few to name others. They are willing to come to my nikah ceremony earlier than the Big Day to help me decorate and plan! Yeay! Alhamdulillah~
• Girls, i'm thinking these. Can we do it? YES WE CAN!! Hahahaha... kejenya membuli kawan2... tidak2.. saya sanggup dibuli di kendian hari oleh kamu2 pula ya sayang2 saya... hehe (habis kata pujian dah ni).

Hehe... yes.. my room too! Deco deco na... Pretty Woman.. lalalalalal... Huhuhu ambitious!

• Dresses and Outfit:
• Most and important checklist that i've to cross out are my Nikah Dress, Veils (i'm not thinking to wear it... huhu perlu ke?), My Enchek Tunang-Groomtobe-husband Baju Melayu and Sampin and Songkok and stocking and kasut. 
• My bridesmaid dress- Baju Kurung for each- can i have you girls wear any colour you want? Since it's all white rustic and a bit of pink... Cream/ offwhite and white would do. Simple kurung pahang or kurung moden. Sweet pari2.
• My family will be wearing soft pink~ most of the family members dah hantar pun to the tailors.
• Ermm... Enchek Tunang, i think we can trust your family to choose their own colour theme kan? Pastel maybe... heeeeee... serahkan pada Miss Nora atau Madam Aida ^_^. 
• Most worrying is that... I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING YET IN MIND WHAT TO WEAR. 

• Kunun nak Follow Irma Hasmie's nikah dress... tapi my stylist, Mummy Umzarul Nadiah rejected it. Says i'm too fat and short and plump.. tak sesuai. Huaaaa. Then nak pakai simpel Kurung Pahang in White, pun.... dia kata tak sesuai and my mom was against it. Katanya.. apa beza awak dgn tetamu nnt. Sekali tetamu lagi vogue. Adeh... Huhuhu... udah la putih mayat, tade beza pula dgn tetamu yang lagi vogue.. masalah... Ingat nk ge beli siap je kat Butik Qamilla kat SACC MAll... cross fingers they have my size.
